It’s been many, many years since I was last in Burns Park. In fact, I think I was a little kid the last time I was there and we only visited Funland Amusement Park.

This time, however, we just drove all throughout the 1,700 park so we could see it all.

How Burns Park Got Its Name

A local doctor named William Burns started a drive to buy the land and was granted 20,000 dollars to buy the area for a park. He helped build pavilions, roads, trails, and a lake. In 1950, the park was named Burns Park after him. –source

We drove over it at least 4 times and even walked over it.
