I have lived in Arkansas my entire life and I still can’t get this right.

During a tornado watch, it’s important to stay alert and monitor weather updates, as tornadoes can develop quickly. It’s a time to prepare and be ready to act if the situation changes.
A tornado warning, on the other hand, is much more urgent. It is issued when a tornado has been spotted in the area or indicated by radar. A tornado warning means that a tornado is either imminent or already occurring, and immediate action is required to protect yourself. During a warning, you should seek shelter in a sturdy building, preferably in a basement or interior room away from windows. If you’re in a mobile home or outside, seek a more secure location immediately. Understanding the difference between a watch and a warning is critical for your safety during tornado season.
