I can’t tell you how many times by husband and I talk about how nice it would be to live on a lake. Now, we live on 5 beautiful wooded acres in Arkansas but there is something about the water that always calls to us.

Greers Ferry Lake
Greers Ferry Lake is one of my favorite lakes in Arkansas and is also one of the best Arkansas lakes to live on. There is plenty of real estate in the area for anyone who wants to build their dream home or buy an existing one.
For anyone who enjoys swimming, boating, or fishing, Greers Ferry Lake is perfect. Also, I should mention that you will find premier-class trout fishing in the nearby Little Red River.
Nestled in the Ozark foothills between Clinton and Heber Springs, Greers Ferry is among the state’s five largest lakes. It is also tops in providing great fishing, water sports, boating and camping. The award-winning reservoir served as the national model for environmental cleanliness. Corps of Engineers campgrounds and commercial parks are available, along with first-class lodging, lakeside resorts and fine restaurants. Lake Dardanelle
I went to college in Russellville, Arkansas and spent a lot of time enjoying Lake Dardanelle while I was there.
There are homes for sale to accommodate any budget around Lake Dardanelle. Surrounding Lake Dardanelle, you will find towns like Russellville, London, Dardanelle, and Delaware. These are perfect places to kick back and enjoy the water!

Lake Ouachita is Arkansas’ largest lake. On this lake, there is very little development on the shorelines. So, you won’t be able to live on the shoreline of Lake Ouachita but you can live close!

An added bonus is that Lake Ouachita is only 13 miles from Hot Springs National Park!
